I'm one of them

I finally joined the bandwagon of paid blogging. I was inspired by the bloggers who have earned a significant amount of money thru this method.

After weeks of contemplating if I will join or not, I decided to signed up at PayPerPost and grab the chance or opportunity to earn extra money to be able to buy some more of my little luxuries in life. I submitted my blog and it was approved right away! I never thought it would be that fast and easy. From what I have read from other bloggers, PayPerPost has the most and frequent new opportunities for paid blogging. The website is also very simple and easy to understand. I also like the way they inform the bloggers of the events or any updates that are very helpful and relevant to their users.

I hope I can qualify for the open opportunities soon. I'm so excited to write about topics that are interesting and applicable for me. This would also be the perfect chance to share and write about some insights on topics that I somehow forget to talk about. I know that this will also be a learning venue for me as well as for those who regularly read my blog.

Movie Night on a Monday?!

Yes, it was a movie date with Paolo at Trinoma last night to watch Iron Man. We usually do this on a Friday or Saturday when we don't have plans with my friends but yesterday, I was surprised when he called me up while driving on my way home from the office asking me if I wanted to catch the 7:30 pm screening at Trinoma. Ofcourse I said yes even if my stomach was feeling a little upset. I like it when he's spontaneous so I took advantage of it! Haha!

I just took a quick shower to freshen up then we headed off for Trinoma which is just 5-10mins away from our place. He bought the tickets and I bought food to bring inside the cinema. My choice that night was Taters since I was craving for their white cheddar nacho chips while Paolo had the regular nachos with toppings of beef and cheese.

We finally settled into our assigned seats, watched the trailers of upcoming movies then the movie started na. My gosh, umpisa pa lang ng movie, it was so action-packed na! Ang galing ng effects and the story was kinda realistic since the setting was the war in Afghanistan.

Anyway, they shot some scenes that we got to visit while in the US. One of the scenes that made me so kilig was the one shot at at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown LA. It was the scene where Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) had a charity ball. Wala lang, ang saya lang coz I got to see and be in the places where some scenes were taken.

Picture from a scene in Iron Man. That's Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) coming down from the car

This is us.. hehe

I highly recommed the film. Ang galing kasi unlike Superman or Spiderman, Iron Man has no special powers or is no super human being. His power was just his sheer ingenuity. Ang galing! If you haven't watched it, better do so..

I'm Back!

Well.. was actually here since Monday morning. I was busy fixing stuff that we bought and separating the pasalubongs for family, friends and officemates.

The weather is so HOT!!! not even warm, but hot! I get tired easily. I think I may be out of shape too but I think its more of the hot weather.

Monday afternoon, I called our home-service massage. I felt that I badly needed it. All the walking we did and the 15-hour flight back home was just too much for me. It was one of the best massages I had! I felt so relaxed that I dozed off. Before I knew it, the massage was over and I just heard the masahista leaving our room. Bitin! Haha! I dunno if it was the jetlag or I'm just so tired but I was asleep by 9:30pm. I was badly trying to fight the urge of sleeping in the afternoon coz I really wanted to be adjusted to Manila time immediately.

Tuesday: I was still on leave from work. I promised myself while I was still in the US that as soon as I get home, one of my priorities would be to pamper my hands and feet. Since the weather was cold in the US, my hands got really dry to the point that my knuckles cracked and got wounded. It was really bad. No hand cream or lotion could aid it! My feet on the other hand really needed to have a good scrubbing and polishing. So, Paolo and I headed off to Shangri-la mall. He also needed a haircut. He went to Bruno's and I went to Nail Spa. I got the Hand and Feet Bliss service. It was really divine! My hands and feet are soft and delicate again. I even got a nice manicure and pedicure. I picked a light, almost nude shade.. perfect for summer! Oh, and we also had a sumptous lunch at Mini Shabu-Shabu. I really missed that!

Today, I'm back to work. Back to reality again. I'm still busy catching up with my friends here in the office. Its actually nice to be back. Funny though but I missed them. I missed our lunch dates.. hehe..

I will be posting my "travel tips" on the other blog..

Two weeks in California

We're now on our second week of our US trip and we have already visited Palm Springs, Universal Studios and ofcourse, the best part of it was the outlet shopping at Desert Hills Premium Outlets at Cabazon. If you look it up here, almost all designer brands can be found that are also in Woodbury in New York. I think the only store missing at Cabazon would be the outlet of Chanel. I think that they don't have those very expensive and luxe Chanel purses (which I hope to buy someday) but from what I've heard, they have shoes, clothes and small leather goods at discounted prices.

I must have gained like a gazillion pounds since we arrived. Paolo's tito is such a great cook and whips out the yummiest steaks, baked salmon and Japanese fried rice. We really don't eat out often since everyday is almost a feast here in their house. I've also tried In and Out burger animal style and its the best! Its really a must try if you're visiting the US..

That's it for now. We're going to Sea World in San Diego tomorrow!

Updates

Its the third day of our trip and I'm soo loving the cold weather here in Lawndale CA. Its really a big break and relief from the sweltering heat in Manila that was experienced last Holy Week. So far, konti pa lang ang shopping ko coz I'm looking forward to going to outlet stores to get some bargain buys. I was finally able to buy a Canon Powershot, undies from Victoria's Secret, some stuff from Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx and a VERY NICE BAG! .. secret na lang muna ang brand! hehe

That's it muna for now.. gotta pack out stuff for our weekend at Palm Spring tomorrow.. hope to post some pics!

I feel..

so REFRESHED! after the Holy Week. We just stayed home last Thursday to pack our stuff, visited my parents on Friday then went to Shangri-la mall on Saturday to have lunch. We were supposed to eat at Steak Town but it was closed so we tried Sumosam for a change. The food was so-so and the price was unreasonable. We just had California Maki, Tempura, Beef Tepanyaki and we shared a cup of Japanese fried Rice and we paid P1,200.. we felt it was too overpriced!

We're all set for our 10pm flight tomorrow to Los Angeles. I'm so excited! Haha! I was still planning to go to work tomorrow since I can leave the office by 4pm but Paolo told me not to go to the office anymore coz I might leave some important stuff and it will be hard to go back home. As I said in my other post, I was the one who did the packing so I know where everything is.

Anyway, it will be a busy day for me today since I will be turning over some work and need to schedule payments on my cards and utilities. Thank God for online banking!!
