Jan's Coffee Break Ver. 1.34

I woke up yesterday to the alarm of my TV. It was on channel 2 and the show was Umagang Kay Ganda and they were already playing Christmas Carols.

Timing as I was again invited by Jan to join in this week's question:

What's there to not love about Christmas? Its my favorite time of the year for the following reasons:

1. I love the weather. Its cold and breezy but not gloomy.

2. The festive mood. Parties everywhere

3. The decors. One of the reasons why I wanted to have a wedding in December but was discouraged by my family since traffic during this season is terrible.

4. The gifts.

5. Christmas carols

6. Holiday shopping. Bazaars.

7. The food. well.. more on an excuse to indulge in food

And last but not the least, its the perfect time of the year to reflect on what has happend for the past 12 months and realize that next year will be a new beginning, a new hope for everyone.

What baduy love song do you like listening to?

My answer: Love Moves in Mysterious Ways

Its really not baduy. I think its the most gasgas one. Especially when Nina sang her version of it. I heard our help sing it "Loves mubs, in meestriyus waaays".. with feelings yan ha while she was watching ASAP. It was my favorite since High School.. The original one by Julia Fordham. I really like the lyrics of the song. Kaya lang it has become too mainstream. Naging cheesy na tuloy...

But my real guilty pleasure would be Forevermore by Side A. I remember my high school days when hubby was still courting me. I felt the song was the best description of how we felt for each other.. Naks!!!

How has the internet made wonders to your social life?

• Friendster - i was able to get in touch with friends from grade school, high school, college, ex-officemates, friends from other schools that I've met before and friends from yahoo groups that I belong to. I can also check who's "stalking" me through the profile views option. Haha!
• Multiply - Here, I am updated with what's going on with my friends through their picture. This is where I can upload hundreds and hundreds of pictures of parties like birthdays, showers (bridal and baby), weddings, travels, night-outs, etc. And just recently, I found this site to host a number of specialty shops.
• Yahoo Messenger - i can chat with: friends in San Diego, New York and Canada, cousins in LA and Netherlands, my sister in QC, another friend whose office is just a few buildings away from mine and sometimes my mom when I catch her online which is just once every six months!
• Google - search for information on anything under the sun. This is especially helpful on our TTC journey
• Sites of my favorite brands to check their latest wares and make myself drool on them
• Blogging, Reading other people's blogs
