I WANT

This is really bad.. after buying 2 bags (reveal will be done soon) in one month, I am seriously considering buying this

I still don't know what size to get. I tried on the PM and it fits me well. I'll think about it for another month and if the thrill of owning and using it doesn't die down, I will definitely go for it. Besides, it will be useful for trips or when I finally decide to take Fonzy to the malls :)

I will be

back to blogging soon. I'm done with all the backlog work in the office after a month since I returned to work...

But for now, I am in so much pain! I want to go home and nurse my little boy. He's the only one who can relieve me from this :(

Pictures of my little boy

After more than two months of being in hiatus, I finally found time to do a short update on this blog. I've been so busy taking care of my baby and planning his baptism at the same time. I am also so thankful that I found an efficient and trustworthy yaya that has been keeping me sane for the past month.

Here are some pictures of Fonzy stored in my phone as I am blogging from my Nokia e63.

I'll be doing my birthiing story sson so standby for it..

My New Lunch Date

I look forward to this treat everyday. Its a healthier alternative for my Starbucks Frap cravings whenever I want something sweet (and sour) and cold. Its fat free and has few calories plus I get my fruit serving requirements. I usually top it with strawberries, mango and banana to complement the creamy sweet and sour taste. Good thing they have it at Hobbes and Landes at Greenbelt 5 which is just walking distance from my office. Sometimes though when Paolo is not able to join me for lunch, I would get really tamad to go out and walk since the heat outside is really terrible.

I've also tried Red Mango at Trinoma and its just as good. Though the center of the yougurt "twist" was hollow so it was kinda bitin.

I also wanna try White Hat but when I checked, they only have a store in Mall of Asia. I do hope though they will open one here in Makati or QC area.

Good as new

I finally decided to have my watch serviced after more than 11 years since I noticed that its not that snychronized anymore. If I don't get to wear it for a day, it already stops. This is very unusual since before, it can last up to 3 days of not wearing it.

A few weeks ago, I brought it to Rolex Service Center in Makati and true enough, after checking it, they said that it needs an "overhaul". They quoted how much the repairs would cost and it wasn't that cheap! Five thousand pesos more and I could've gotten myself a new bag!But then, this is an investment and I should really take care of it since it has a sentimental value (got it for Christmas).

After waiting for weeks, I finally got my watch in its brand new condition. It was buffed to remove the scratches. The bracelet was cleaned so its "shinigly" brand new. It was oiled and the crown was replaced for a better and more efficient winding.

I'm so happy with it since it looks so shiny and pretty. The wait and the money spent was all worth it!

Meet "Sparking Graphite"

THE REAL FIRSTBORN (hehe) will have his free 4D ultrasound today. We wish he will show his face kasi sayang naman if not. Will post pics soon!!

Is it too early..

to plan for my little boy's baptism? I've been thinking of planning it now since I'm already halfway done shopping for baby essentials like bottles, teats, basic clothes and blankets. I got some gifts from friends when they gave me a baby shower (read all about it here) to add to my "must-haves" for the baby. My sister told me they will schedule another shower for me on my birthday (double celebration) or basta daw sometime in April. I hope matuloy sya :)

Another reason why I want to plan his baptism is to get my mind off my fears and anxieties of motherhood. There are so many things going on in my mind. I still get to sleep soundly at night although there are times that I wake up to bad dreams. Maybe this of its manifestations.

I am so scared of many things... taking care of a newborn, not being able to breast feed as much as I want to, the sleepless nights, stretchmarks and getting fat and ugly (ok, the last three are really so vain of me. Blame it on the extra surge of hormones perhaps?).

On the other hand, I'm also excited to be a mom and to see my baby. I had a check up last monday and we already saw our baby's face in the ultrasound (2d nga lang). He has chubby cheeks but quite a big nose! My mom and my OB assured me that it will still change. He's doing very well. All results are normal and his kicking activities are getting stronger and more frequent. I am also happy that I only gained 3 pounds since my last check up. I felt so relieved since I was always pigging out and eating the not-so-good stuff the past few days.

Now, I am looking forward for our FREE 4D ultrasound. My OB told me that she will inform me of the schedule of the demo for the 4D ultrasound machine that she plans to buy. I hope that I will be free, better yet, I HAVE to make myself free on that day. I'm so excited! I can't wait!!

Is it me or is the weather getting hotter the past few days? This makes me crave for more fruit shakes and Starbucks frap (I know all these sugar is bad!!).

What's your plan for summer? Looks like mine will be boring..

We're Having A Boy!!

On my fourth month check up, my OB told us that we were having a boy. After checking for all the other body parts, she went back to capture "proof" that our baby is a boy when he became shy and closed his legs. My OB then decided to wait for my next check up to confirm and print an ultrasound picture.

Here he is....

Last christmas, our baby already received gifts eventhough he's still in my tummy. The wife of my cousin who is also our ninang when Paolo and I got married sent this all the way from the Netherlands. She's really so sweet and she's more excited for the baby than I am!

Ofcourse, the proud and excited daddy bought this one for his junior.

Pregnancy messed it up..

Early into my second trimester, I noticed that I was having constant headaches. It was no ordinary headache I tell you but the ones that really throb and extends all the way down to your shoulders. I thought it was migraine but then when I consulted my OB, she told to have my eyes checked. It could be that I was not comfy anymore with the eyeglasses that I was using since pregnancy could alter your eyesight. True enough, after having my eyes checked, my vision worsened.

Now, I am in a hunt for my fourth pair of eyeglasses. I found interesting Holiday Glass Frames from Zenni Optical, a popular online eyeglasses shop.

And with their ultra cheap $ 8 Complete Rx Eyeglasses you really can't go wrong.

45 Days to go till Christmas

I haven't started with my shopping yet. Wait, I haven't even made a list! Usually, I would already start shopping by mid-November to still get some of the "good" stuff. I noticed kasi that by the first week of December, almost all the nice stuff are already gone especially clothes and shoes. Ako pa naman, it has been a tradition for me (and my whole family) to wear something new for Christmas eve, Christmas day and New Year's eve. Those are the parties and reunions kasi so we really dress up for it.

Anyway, I gotta start moving. I've only got a handful of inaanak and pamangkin so it won't really be that much of a problem. I just wanna make sure that I get my parents and sisters really nice gifts. As for Paolo's gift, hindi pa ba enough that I'm finally giving him a baby?!! Seriously, I still don't know what to get him and kahit sya, he doesn't know yet what he wants.

So, the hunt for the perfect dress(es) and shoes is on. I'll keep you posted.

Have you started with your Christmas shopping? Please share with me your good finds :)

ENVY

That's what I feel now that the plans of my family to go to Macau this December is finally pushing thru without me!!! We originally planned to treat my parents to this trip to spend my dad's birthday there. I was supposed to be in charge of doing all the reservations online; from our plane tickets from PAL to comparing room rates from websites like asiarooms.com, hotels.com and hotelcombined.com to scout for the best rates for either Wynn Hotel or The Venetian (I personally prefer the Venetian.. hehe). My dad wanted to postpone the trip until I was ready and able to travel (daddy's girl eh! hehe) but my sisters have already arranged their schedules way before and it will be so selfish of me to mess it up. So, they are all set on December 8 to 10 and I think they will be staying at Wynn Hotel since my dad prefers it. I don't want to know the final details coz I'm really really sad that I won't be able to join my family in this trip. They promised to take home some of those Macau delicacies like the dried tapa which I hope I am allowed to eat!

Anyway, another thing that I envy are those pregnant ladies who can still eat or at least have an appetite during the first trimester. There are a couple of ladies here in the office that are also pregnant. Some are like me, in the first trimester, some are in their second and some are just about ready to pop. We sometimes compare our experiences and so far, I am the only one that doesn't have a "pinaglilihian" na food. I don't even have an appetite and as of my last check up, I even lost 2 pounds! After 3 or 4 bites, my stomach will start to feel queasy and I would feel like throwing up. I'm trying to eat healthy and as much as I can though since I already feel guilty that I may be depriving my baby of precious nutrients.

On A Short Vacation

I've been on bedrest since Tuesday after my check up last Monday. We already saw the heartbeat of the baby and he/she is doing really well. My doctor advised me to be on bedrest for at least 2 weeks until my next check up just make sure that the baby and I will be ok. To date, the baby is now 7 weeks and 2 days old and as of the last TVU, the baby measures 6.6mm and the cardiac activity is 136 beats per minute. And according to the ultrasound result, it will be a summer baby as I am due on June 4. That will be a great wedding anniversary present!

We're really so excited and Paolo is so kind to give in to whatever I crave for. So far, no weird cravings yet. All I want is Pescattora pasta from Cibo, Sandwiches from Pancake House and Sukiyaki soup. So whenever Paolo gets home from work, I always have a pasalubong from him.

So far, I'm not yet bored staying just at home. For someone like me who's used to trekking the concrete jungle of Makati five times a week, this is really a breather. I'm enjoying being a bum and a SAHW. I just watch TV and fight off the nausea by sleeping.

So far so good... Just one more week of bedrest so I really need to take advantage of that!
