10 Random Things About Me

Got this tag from Pat

RULES:

1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.

2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.

3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 10 people to get tagged and list their breads.

4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Here goes ...

  1. I'm really not good at singing although I can say that I come from a family of singers (my sister is good and my cousin is a really really famous one!) but I'm good at memorizing lyrics.

  2. Took up piano lessons when I was 10. I reached grade 3. Haven't played in a while though.

  3. I'm no make up junkie. I only apply face powder, lip balm and lipstick. I would love to learn professional make up application.

  4. Took up IT in college and never got to practice it. My current job is Finance related.

  5. I have a really bad vision/eyesight. I have pure astigmatism with a grade of 350. Been wearing eyeglasses since I was 7.
  6. They say I have nice hands and feet. Almost kalyo-less. Hehe. Buti na lang coz Paolo is very particular on this.

  7. I'm balbon. Spent a lot on salon waxing before I had IPL hair removal done on my underarm and upper lip. I wish all these body hair (arms and legs) will go away!

  8. I consider myself a "low maintenance" girl. I don't know how to blowdry/iron my hair. Buti na lang I was blessed with naturally straight hair. I have a one-step nightly ritual of just applying astringent to clean my face and only apply moisturizer when my skin is really flaky dry.

  9. Learned how to drive at the age of 19 which I think is pretty late already. Drove a stick shift during my college years.

  10. A Chocolate/Dessert addict. If smokers need their nicotine fix after meals, I also need to have my sweet fix after eating lunch and dinner or else, I'll be in a bad mood. Sweets make me happy
Ok, I'm going to break one rule of this and tag just 5 people.

Tell me more about yourself Jan, Farah, Happy, Sujee and Bunnie
Let me know if you are done so I can know you a little bit more.

Boring Tuesday

As I said in my other post, I have nothing to do here in the office for the rest of the month. I've been browsing thru some websites like Tiffany, Cartier and Bvlgari and let myself drool over their jewelries and watches. I wish I could own one of their fine fine jewelries before I hit 30! (what's with me and the age of 30 anyway? Haha!)

So, how did my weekend go? It was a quiet one I would say. We were planning on a movie date or a very nice dinner date but walang natuloy sa kanila. My in-laws invited us for dinner then we just watched 2 dvd movies at home after. Our movies of choice that night were Enchanted and Alvin and the Chipmunks. I know these movies are so outdated already but those were the only ones that we haven't watched. Naaliw ako on both movies especially kay Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Sunday naman, we just had lunch at CPK Trinoma. I was craving for their Asian Salad (I forgot what's it called now) and their Barbecue Chicken Pizza. Which by the way, I almost finished half of it. Yuck! Takaw!

Gotta get back to my diet!

Sooooo looking forward to the weekend!

We're on TV!!!

That's right! The show Chill Spot which airs every Sunday on ETC featured Karla Magbanua of Claycakes for their wedding episode. Karla is one of my favorite suppliers and I really super love the cake she designed for us. She actually called me last week (May 2) to ask if it was ok if she will include part of our wedding pictures for the episode. Ofcourse I said yes! I'm so happy that she chose our cake/pictures to be one of her featured designs.

I saw three pictures of our cake

This was the first image

Second picture

And lastly

I was really surprised with the last picture since most of what was featured was only the cake. I think we were the only couple na may picture together with the cake. Nakakatuwa coz I got to see myself on TV! - kahit picture lang! Hahaha!

The show will have a replay today, May 12 at 1pm and 7pm, Tuesday (May 13) at 8am, Thursday (May 15) at 4pm and Saturday (May 17) at 2pm. Hope you can watch it.

I'm one of them

I finally joined the bandwagon of paid blogging. I was inspired by the bloggers who have earned a significant amount of money thru this method.

After weeks of contemplating if I will join or not, I decided to signed up at PayPerPost and grab the chance or opportunity to earn extra money to be able to buy some more of my little luxuries in life. I submitted my blog and it was approved right away! I never thought it would be that fast and easy. From what I have read from other bloggers, PayPerPost has the most and frequent new opportunities for paid blogging. The website is also very simple and easy to understand. I also like the way they inform the bloggers of the events or any updates that are very helpful and relevant to their users.

I hope I can qualify for the open opportunities soon. I'm so excited to write about topics that are interesting and applicable for me. This would also be the perfect chance to share and write about some insights on topics that I somehow forget to talk about. I know that this will also be a learning venue for me as well as for those who regularly read my blog.

Movie Night on a Monday?!

Yes, it was a movie date with Paolo at Trinoma last night to watch Iron Man. We usually do this on a Friday or Saturday when we don't have plans with my friends but yesterday, I was surprised when he called me up while driving on my way home from the office asking me if I wanted to catch the 7:30 pm screening at Trinoma. Ofcourse I said yes even if my stomach was feeling a little upset. I like it when he's spontaneous so I took advantage of it! Haha!

I just took a quick shower to freshen up then we headed off for Trinoma which is just 5-10mins away from our place. He bought the tickets and I bought food to bring inside the cinema. My choice that night was Taters since I was craving for their white cheddar nacho chips while Paolo had the regular nachos with toppings of beef and cheese.

We finally settled into our assigned seats, watched the trailers of upcoming movies then the movie started na. My gosh, umpisa pa lang ng movie, it was so action-packed na! Ang galing ng effects and the story was kinda realistic since the setting was the war in Afghanistan.

Anyway, they shot some scenes that we got to visit while in the US. One of the scenes that made me so kilig was the one shot at at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown LA. It was the scene where Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) had a charity ball. Wala lang, ang saya lang coz I got to see and be in the places where some scenes were taken.

Picture from a scene in Iron Man. That's Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) coming down from the car

This is us.. hehe

I highly recommed the film. Ang galing kasi unlike Superman or Spiderman, Iron Man has no special powers or is no super human being. His power was just his sheer ingenuity. Ang galing! If you haven't watched it, better do so..
